I've been watching the Manure Pile on Comcast the last couple of weeks. Last week vs. Montana and this week vs. Northeastern. I'm seeing a couple of things that could affect Causeway if the coaches catch it.
1. Their backup running back has been getting some extended PT in the absence of their starter. He's VERY good, particularly on slashing plays. The defense should see that and be ready for it.
2. The defense seems to be fairly efficient, but is often placed in bad positions by mistakes from the quarterback. Today alone, he has fumbled and thrown two picks. The fumble was inside the minus 10, and the TD came in fairly short order. The first pick was to the DE of all people on a screen play. Northeastern did nothing with that one, but then the Davis QB threw one up for grabs to the center fielder. Another TD came shortly after that. Davis lost a 10-0 lead very quickly and is now down 21-10 in the third. I guess what I'm trying to say is this: get to the QB and we will win.
I hope that the guys see this. While Davis is still a competitive team, this seems to be our best chance at getting a win since the Chuck era.
