Good for them.

Might not want to give up 400+ yard of offense in the PSU game if you want a shot at keeping it close.

For that matter, it doesn't look like their special teams have much either, in punt and kickoff returns. stands to reason, with fewer scholarships allowed.

It's a relief looking at SOU, with OSU brething down our necks.

Baldwin, Sweeney come through in clutch comeback victory

I thought the below paragraph from the article was interesting , shows you the pecking order of college football:

"SOU now has two weeks to prepare for a money game against Portland State, a Division I-FCS program — PSU will pay SOU between $20,000 and $35,000, according to SOU interim athletic director Matt Sayre. After that, the Raiders host back-to-back home games against Willamette and Linfield."

What, OSU pays us, then we pay SOU? You're right. It's called the "trickle-down" theory of football schedules.

300k in, 30k out. Plus, we practice what we preach about playing in state programs. It wouldn't be right to call out UO and OSU, then not schedule a lower division program ourselves.

Good point. I'm down with that.

How much did OSU pay us? At least $200,000, right?

$300,000.

pretty good considering PSU saves a lot of cash by not having to fly anywhere. Did they even get a hotel, or just leave first thing in the AM?

Stayed at a hotel in Salem, couldn't get one in Corvallis or closer then that.

I haven't seen any SOU fans lingering around this site. I wonder how many SOU fans will show up.

I thought that WOU fans had a decent showing last year.

Wow, 25.00 for two adult and two youth tickets for 'Family Day' on Saturday? That's a pretty good deal. Do they have that pricing event every year?

WOU fans were great last year. They were very respectful and brought more people than I would've guessed.

Looks like it's going to be a hot one on Saturday.

Definitely better than last week in Corvallis. I had a full vehicle and couldn't get the tent packed. Got a little wet grilling up the brats.
