We desperately need a win tonight. Hopefully everybody is healthy and ready to go. I still struggle to understand how we can be playing so poorly. I feel confident we get a big win. We have too much talent and a great coach.

Another second half collapse. I don't understand how we can hang with every team we play in the first half and then get blown out in the second.

At this point I'd say coaching. We don't make adjustments at half, the other teams do. We have some good players on this team, but we are a very poor team defensively and our shot selection is usually pretty bad.

Bingo...most teams make 2nd half adjustments, we don't. We are the last place team in one of the worst conferences in the country. Sometimes when you look and play bad, you really are bad, and I'm starting to think that.

We haven't won on the road at all this year so wanting the win was probably a little optimistic ;)
Looking forward to the upcoming home games. Hopefully, fans will turn up and help this young inexperienced team get over the line. Need to get them some support. Over three thousand turned out for Southern Utah. Amazing the difference it makes to a team to hear crowd support when the opposition start to close the lead. I really don't believe it is the coaching. The team is talented but young and inexperienced. We will get there but they need alot of support to start believing in themselves!
Once that happens, nothing will stop this team :)

After PSU on Monday, we host the Montana schools and typically draw well for those games. The Griz are REALLY good this year and every Alumni gets in free to that game so it should be pretty packed.

I think the conference tourney is pretty much out of the question this year so hopefully our younger players can learn to play a full game and start to gel and look towards the future. We have some talent this year, but definitely need some more. I would love to see us add some quality athletes this year, we are not very athletic.

This game was very disappointing. I think our coaching is great and our luck is bad. There is still a lot of games to play. We have a great nucleus to build on and will hopefully have a few good recruits to add.

What flavor is that kool-aid you are drinking??

I do see the talent, that is the bad news. We can't get that talent to play together well enough to win more than two games. We barely beat ISU on our court so I doubt we can beat them in Poc. If we are going to get another win, which one do you think it will be?

Eagle Red punch baby. I don't understand how folks can't see what a great coach we have and talent to boot!

Is this sarcastic? It's hard to tell in this environment. 4 wins at this point in the season is pretty hard to defend. In fact, it's totally unacceptable performance. I know nothing about basketball, so it's tough for me to comment on why it's happening, but I know that we are terrible. The team proves it darn near every time they step on the floor. Sucks, but it is what it is....

We may be the worst team in the Big Sky but give the guys a break... we may not be the worst team in the country
Northern Illinois Men’s Basketball Sets Record for Lowest Scoring Half
"We now get to today’s game at Eastern Michigan; Northern Illinois shocked the college basketball world by only scoring four points at halftime which is an absolute absurdity. One of my friends here at school works for Athletics and coordinates the statistics for Northern Illinois Men’s Basketball team. Folks you can’t make up these stats 1-35 from the field at one point including 0-17 from the three point line. The sad part is that Eastern Michigan really didn’t pull away until the second half as they were only leading 18-4 at halftime. The final score of the game was Eastern Michigan 42 Northern Illinois 25".

It isn't sarcasm at all. I've been a fan of Coach Hayford from day one. He has won over 200 games in his career. He is a great coach. He won last year in his first year. This year we have a lot of talent. Folks can't argue any of this so don't even try.
