Ya they did it again. The Eagles are the only major college team in the state of Washington to win and we get page 6. Cougars get stomped and they get front page. Go figure??
Think they could find a story line?
National Champions, 4 game winning streak. local players, ???
These guys are a bunch of in-imaginative idiots, or negative Nerdiles that only care to publish bad things.
 
The Cougars are Enron with Spokane and its newspaper playing the duped employees. The employees have gone all in on the company stock despite the company being a sham. The company and employees keep lying to each other about how great they each are hoping to avoid the inevitable mutually painful realization that they're both failures.
 
Just sad if they didn't get Word One on a come-back win in the 4th. But....Once you put together 4 or 6 or 9 winning seasons together....All should get some recognition.
 
Can't stand the Eastern coverage...probably the biggest win of the season and we get page 6. The cougs lose to a crappy team, the huskies get curb stomped, and Eastern gets page 6. Terrible coverage
 
I suppose we ought to expect lousy coverage from the S-R, after all the only significant press the Eagles have received from our mediocre Spokane Rag was after we won the National Championship. Imagine the coverage the Cougars would get were the unthinkable were to happen; a BCS champion from Pullman. They'd probably have an entire week of cover to cover Cougar stories.

Not quite true, there would be a week of coverage if they simply make any bowl game.

I stand corrected. After carefully rethinking my statement, you're right, any bowl game would be good for a week of cover to cover stories. If WSU won a national title that would be reason for the S-R to stop reporting any other news stories for at least a year.
