There's a scrimmage tomorrow (Friday April 3) at 3:30pm. I plan on attending it.

Anyone have feedback on Spring Ball? I didn’t go, but from highlights and news, it looks like the defense is doing well while the offense needs to catch up and learn the system. I read the special teams struggled in FGs…that’s concerning. I’m shocked that has been an issue as much as it has.

I have higher than normal hopes for both football and basketball. I wouldn’t be surprised if both get to competitive upper-half Big Sky standings in the first year. I wasn’t really excited when Duft took over and had lots of concern with Mental. Both Kjar and Canales have me thinking Weber State is going to be on the rise with some energy and enthusiasm. I guess time well tell.

I'm not saying that things will be great right away. Football takes longer to turn around than almost any other sport. However, the vibe is much like it was when Jay took over. My feelings are that given the right amount of time, Eric will have us on the right path again. I'm looking for the little things, like enthusiasm, discipline, and vision. Win or lose, if those things are there, I will feel that we are headed in the right direction. We haven't played a game yet, but what I am seeing looks good.

What happened after Jay is evidence of how fast things can go south. Turning it around is the hard part.
