Spring Football BSC

From what I've heard concerning Gaylord, he failed a random drug test after the Illinois State game. It was for a presciption he'd had, but was expired and not renewed at the time of the drug test. Automatic 1 year NCAA ban. And since he's an upcoming Senior, well you get it!! Tough Break.

talon38,
Is the regular crew making it to 2013 "Orland Killin Dinner, Dance & Auction? Which starts right after the Scrimmage on April 27th. Doors open @ 4:30pm. Right now I am a "no go", however, if the crew from the West Side decide to go, let me know, I could change my mind ;) ;) ;) . Table for 8, I think is $700.00.

Thanks for the update on David Gaylord, I knew he was having quite a bit of problems with his back last year, so he played sparingly. To bad, some of the rules in NCAA, needs to be reviewed, not because of David Gaylord, I have seen to many problems with the NCAA Rules. Vic Wallace

Wow,if he really did not know you could not use your preseription after is expired he deserves a break. Seems like in this day of technology he should have known or the NCAA is way off on this one. What a severe penalty after all the years these kids put in.
I feel bad for David to see his playing days end this way.

I don't want to point fingers, but that sounds like BS. Unless the script was for something like testosterone enthethate or something similar. I'm pretty sure if it was just pseudoephedrine or something like that, the NCAA would've understood.

No problem Vic, we got a table together from the West side, haha! In London at the moment, but will miss you and Chris. Can't really go into details on Gaylord, but think of Seahawks DB from last year from what I've heard, but still a TOUGH break if it stands per NCAA, who knows at this point? Cheers!!

talon38,
Thanks for letting me know. I know all of you will have fun at the Killin Dinner. Will be at the Scrimmage.
I do not understand about Gaylord. Will let it lay dead until I hear more, if there is more to come. Have a safe flight back, see you on the 27th, meantime will be at practice on Thursday @ 4pm, even if it is w/o pads the 1st 2 practices. Vic Wallace

Cal Poly adds 2010 MaxPreps National High School Player of the Year QB Dano Graves. Graves transferred this spring from Air Force and will battle this spring to replace graduating QB Andre Broudous.

As a senior he led Folsom High School to a state championship throwing for 3,702 yards and 62 TDs. He also rushed 994 yards and 23 TDs. Dano is only 5' 9" which is not ideal for a Pro Style offense, but should not be a problem in Cal Poly's triple option offense (an offense he played in the last two years at Air Force).
