Spring Game Festivities

I like what Collins is doing with the football alumni and the spring game. This weekend there will be a golf tourney, dinner, breakfast banquet, flag football game and softball game. All involving past Bears. Vince and Reed will be joining the golf tourney! We've got a proud program and Earnest is trying bring that winning tradition back.

Should be great weather for everything too. I'll be there for the spring game and I encourage all of you to come out to Nottingham if you can.

Wow, I always wondered why we never seemed to have the support of former players. This is an awesome step forward (benefit of having a coach that already knows the alumni).

looking forward to it myself, see you guys there!

the board sure has been quiet..........

So says the poster with only 70 posts.
I think its the freakin weather. Seems like Wyoming today!! I have been saying since day 1 of the Collins era, that this guy has raised the excitment level around here 100 fold . I can't wait till fall and I will be at Nottingham on sat.

I think interest will build, it will take some time. The program has been sleep walking for 5 or 6 years now so you can't blame the casual fan for not getting excited. But as basketball proved if they can win a little things will pick up, no reason we shouldn't average 8K a game if we could actually put a decent product on the field and that is winning but also show some passion, excitment, act like you care, some emotion when you win or lose instead of cliches and excuses.

Looks like they'll go with a "real" spring game. Two teams, white team versus blue team. Here is the rosters for each team.

Nice, a roster, someone had to work a couple hours on that, I'm guessing some brains got bruised.
