Thanks for bringing it up, Alumni. Free to the public and high interest, with our new set of coaches. We may not see everything in Mental's toolbox, but we may see some general tendencies.

Things I will look for:

1) development of depth along the line of scrimmage, both sides.
2) development of a young LB crew.
3) depth in the DB positions.
4) general fitness and depth at QB.
5) usage of TE sets.

I don't think we will know much about our WR group until all the newcomers arrive this summer.

I'm hopeful that an improved offense can push us right back up to the top. :thumb:

I guess we should have expected the D to be way ahead of the O. A new O and a lot of returning players on D. We still have a long way to go on offense, while our defense will be as good as ever.

With some players being held out and players divided up fairly evenly, it's hard to get a good read on where things truly stand.

One thing was clear, punting didn't look good at all.

We seem to be deep at DB and LB positions. Hard to get an idea of depth at DL.

We should be okay at RB and QB will be fine as long as we can keep them healthy.

I couldn't make any sort of evaluation of the OL positions.

We seem a little thin at WR. Summer additions should help there.

We didn't see special teams at all. We should still be good there, if we can find a punter.

I liked the no huddle approach for O. There is a lot that can be done with that sort of thing.
