Spring Game

Spring game a nice affair despite the weather. Paris continues to impress with his feet. Kieran much quicker but some accuracy issues (altho really tough weather to throw in). Casey steady as usual and TC a couple of athletic catches. Maybe Trevor Dye ready to break out at receiver. Rey Vega could provide some great depth at RB. Congrats to Max Lyons for two interceptions. The new JC linebackers looked strong. Fusi could be a beast this year. Kicking could be solved with Ian Boozer.
 
I was only able to get there for the first half (right after Penn's TD. Mostly happy with what I saw.

Some quick thoughts:

- Penn is damn quick and KM looks a step faster this year. I think the QB spot is going to be a real strength this season and the fall competition will be fun to watch.

- No missed kicks! No missed kicks! No missed kicks! Oh and not only do we have the returning FCS punter of the year returning, Fernandez out kicked him 46.0 to 45.6 yesterday.

- I can't wait to see our entire defensive unit in the fall.

- WRs should be a solid group this year. Good to see Carter with quite the spring game and 123 yards.
 
Both teams' defense looked really tight. QBs and offensive teams executing plays a step faster will make a big, big difference this season. Loved the receptions but too many incompletes right now. Good receivers out there in addition to KC. Punting looked good and consistent. All in.

 
I believe it was Bach and Powell at center.
However, there were a number of high snaps.
Not as many as in practice though, so things are improving.

I was going to mention the high snaps but I've noticed that pretty much every spring has high snaps.

If we have high snaps in late August, then we have problems...
 
Don't have a list, but I understand a number of people were held out...just held out, not necessarily injured.
