maybe Hansen and Bullinger will come out relaxed and quit trying so hard. We have been waiting for breakout games from both. Hansen played great at NAU, Bullinger the same at USU we need these guys, but maybe in different roles especially Hansen off the bench. We are not deep enough to make a serious run without these guys Stepping up.

Why doesnt Washington see any playing time? Maybe we should start him in front of Bullinger, in the games Matt played in he did a very good job, he was the one who turned the game @ Sac around for us.

Our team is 9-2 with the current line-up.

Thats true, but we are only getting production from 3 of our 5 starters, and when players off the bench are doing better than some of our starters, dont you think they should start? Hughey is playing far better than Hansen is right now, he is doing everything Hansen isnt, so why not start Hughey and get that production that we are not getting from Hansen, same for Bullinger, start Mahoney or Washington in his place, it might inspire Hansen and Bullinger to come out and play better, I believe its worth a shot.

I personally like the starting 5 that we have right now. If you listened to coach rahe after the MSU game he praised the defense of Hansen. He is a leader and I believe that he brings more than just the 3 ball. There is only one other player I rather have shoot the 3 and that Lillard. Hansen is a good guy and he will start draining the open looks. Bullinger is a thread because of his size. He is quick and has a good shot. He will be a mis match for more teams. Next year I say that we can start talking about hughey starting, which he probably will do. I trust rahe and his staff.

No doubt Weber knows how to win close games, but like Lillard said in his postgame remarks after the EWU game we could easily be 1-7 right now. It took rallies against MSU and UM at home, PSU was scary especially after Hansen and Panos threw the ball away in the closing minutes. ISU could have gone either way in triple OT. We beat Sac twice, NAU, EWU convincingly and got blown away by Northern and UM in Missoula. Then another close call in Bozeman. We have been waiting for Hansens shot to start falling all year. I don't think we lose anything defensively when Hughey is in, but we gain Hugheys penetration, and driving abilities. He just has played a lot better, has shot the 3 ball better than Hansen. He deserves to start and more playing time. If it wasn't for the elevated play of Lillard, and better than expected from Panos, and do everything Session we would be 2-9 right now. If we are going to make a run in either tournament we are going to need these guys, and if it's off the bench I'm all for it. Davis coming off the bench last year worked pretty darn well.

I agree that Hansen might be more effective coming off the bench. There is a chance that it could take some pressure off of him. Against MSU he played great defensively, but missed to many open looks. Weber isn't that great of a 3pt shooting team, and if one guy is shooting it better might as well give him more looks at the basket than a guy who isn't shooting it well. Hansen needs to become a threat again. It opens up our offense that much more. If his confidence is low, maybe he needs to try and drive it in sometimes. He is a 90% FT shooter and has a pretty good move at getting to the basket. No matter he needs to try something else to get him going again.

Bull...well Mahoney has been getting a lot more mins, because Bull is usually on the bench for foul trouble. His problem is rythmn. If he never gets into a good shooting rythmn he struggles.
