Starting 5: Post P&W

I think a,

Richardson
Berry
Hill
Bolomboy
Tresnak

lineup would be a pretty scary group to face. Our second string of

Senglin
Gittens
Williams
Fuller
Hajek

is just as scrary. The Sky should be freaking out.

Wondering how long Rahe's bench is going to be? Big year for the Wildcats...... I think Rahe's bench is going to be shorter and he's playing to win a Championship.

Shorter, as in a 8 or 9 man rotation?

That's what I was thinking, but foul trouble can change that..... Deep bench is crucial, but there's deep bench against BYU and probably a lot deeper against Portland State. What I'm trying to say is rotation this year will be situational. We need our best on the court as much as possible. Trez and Joel need to be on the court as much as possible against BYU and UCLA .......

Where do I request some non-home-cooking refs for the BYU game? I saw an exhibition game on the BYU channel vs Colorado College, they were overmatched by BYU in the 2nd half, and yet still the refs were calling tacky fouls on Colo Coll and letting the Cougs do pretty much anything. Maybe they just wanted a meaningless game to end, but the Marriott Center is a hard place to play for road teams....

Well, even if the Cats have never won a game in the Marriott Center, the next best thing is that the Cats are playing in a venue named after a Weber State graduate and son of Weber County. Funny thing...most of BYU's buildings aren't even named after BYU graduates.

As for the Refs...catcat has a video showing what happens to refs if they call a fair game in Provo. The BYU fans start throwing garbage on them.

Anybody who had thoughts of Hill or Fuller playing much at the 3 spot this year needs to rethink their rotations. Both are planning to play most or all of the season at 4. Also, none of the walkons will play this year, unless injuries dictate it. That leaves the point guard choices as Richardson, Senglin, and Berry. The wing positions as Williams, Berry, Senglin, and Gittens. Post positions as Bolomboy, Hill, Fuller, Fulton, Tresnak, and Hayek. It is unlikely that they will ask any freshman to learn more than one position other than the fact that 2s and 3s are fairly interchangeable, likewise with the 4s and 5s.

I still don't know, for sure, who the fifth starter will be. The coaches probably aren't sure either. I think it will most likely be Williams to start the year. That could change later on. After watching them play again, I can say that it will be hard to keep Senglin and Gittens off the floor. The same can be said for Hill and Fuller. No matter who starts, we will be a more up tempo team and the minutes may be spread a little thinner. :coffee:

Is this going to be the line up from here on out? Or, was it only the lineup for the Adams State game? I would think that having Richardson starting at the PG would be the best bet on Friday, but that is my opinion. I'm sure the coaching staff has a far better understanding than me.

The 5 I liked the best during the Adams State game were Richardson, Berry, Gittens, Bolomboy, and Tresnak. Just a little more length on the floor with this five than with Senglin in at point.

This will be the starting 5 for the majority of the season assuming these guys play hard enough to keep their starting roles. And of course barring injuries.
