Starting RB

A huge question mark appeared from the scrimmage...Who will be our starting RB? I'm pretty sure it is going to be Booker, how could it not be? But in all honesty, there are a number of backs who could start or get signifcant carries this year. I was really impressed with all of our backs on Saturday. Collins, Parham, Tuckett, and Hinds all could carry the rock for the Cats this year, and be dangerous. Maybe that is the secret behind the Cats offense, depth. Using different players in different situations keeping the defense guessing.

i really believe that we have more weapons than any defense has answers for. let's not forget, we can run a double tight end also, in short yardage situations...which is a luxury compared to years past.

D line has depth also, which means fresh legs on every series if need be, and THAT is great news.

8-3 is very possible.........very possible.......

I think its safe to say Weber wont have the leading rusher in the Big Sky........

unless they add all the different running backs yardage together

We have losts of great players, these next few years are gonna be special.

They all have a great shot except for Tuckett. He's pretty much just a practice dummy. Yes, I'm a :hater:

Well if Tuckett is a tackling dummy then the defensive front is really going to suck because he ran real well at the scrimmage.

Take it easy, no need to hate on the players.... they're still on the same team the last time i checked.... bottom line is they work hard and make each other better!

Tuckett works his A$$ off, if the team had more guys that work as hard as Tuckett does they would be a lot better. :twocents:

Why the hate for Tuckett? He is a walk-on that has earned everything he has gotten. In my opinion, he deserves more playing time.

from what I hear, and that is not much mind you, he leaves it on the field and the coaches see his work ethic

Wildcats in a tailback conundrum

When Weber State released its first depth chart of the fall camp, five players were listed at the running back spot -- Josh Booker, Kris Parham, C.J. Tuckett, Barrinton Collins and Tanner Hinds -- but none of them were named the starter.

"I believe as a group, we can't be stopped," Collins said. "We have too many weapons. I feel we're one of the best backfields in the nation. When we're on our A-game, can't nobody stop this backfield."

I had a lot of fun putting that centerpiece together. Too bad you can only see it in the print edition.

Gotta love a kid that is making statements like this before even playing a single snap in a college game. Hope he has the game to back up his mouth.

Perhaps a little overconfident. But that's what you get from a young 18 year old true freshman. But I like the attitude of some of these kids. Hoke in particular seems to have some real nastiness to him. Seems very confident and isn't going to be intimidated.

Pretty much guessing that Hawkssb04 wishes he could take back this statement!

Hey Hawk maybe you should look at some of those RB stats before you go :blah: :blah: :stir: the pot :wtf: do you not know football or what stick to tennis or water polo

I'm really glad that Tuckett got a chance to show his stuff; FINALLY. Coming into the season, I believed that he should have been 2nd on the depth chart behind Booker and gotten a lot more looks and chances. He is a kid that deserves everything he gets. To bad there aren't more players on the team with his work ethic and desire. CJ has got a lot of heart! I hope he and Hoke, along with the other incoming SRs, can keep the team together throughout the offseason, training, getting stronger, quicker, and have them ready for next year.
