You took math at Weber didn't you?

didnt think much of the 10.6 rpg as far as national leaders but once you pointed out it was 11.2 i thought it might be in the top 10 and its actaully 4th in the nation! he could finish as the national leader if he keeps up what he has been doing lately.

last 7 games

isu, 16
msu, 12
um, 19
nau, 13
sac, 15
und, 10
unc, 13

98/7=14 rpg

That's a sore spot. Don't blame the Mathematics department for the shortcomings of the Developmental Math department and the laziness/lack of studying of students. They're taking a bad rap for someone else's weaknesses and it discounts the degree for majors.

Yikes!! Joel will have a legitimate chance to break Willie's record. Granted, with an ** because Willie set his record in three years and Joel will have four. I'm thinking he will make it to the 1000 and 1000 club. How many have made it to that distinguished level??

ANSWER: WILLIE!!

RETIRE HIS EFFING NUMBER ALREADY!!!

I Joel puts together an offensive game, we may only have him for 3 years as well. A transformation has happened the last 7 games. He is owning the glass. I think he is worried less about getting the big block and more about the rebounds. I also think that teams are not bringing it in on him as much.

its amazing how basically no one in the big sky can touch willie's 40 yrs old records. can u imagine if joel really can get near numbers? he really can. yikes. the most difficult willie numbers to beat are below. joel should be able to break the school record for overall rebounds in 4 yrs at the rate he is going, but single game numbers?

its amazing what willie did in 3 yrs. imagine if he could competed as a fresh?

Single Game Rebounds
1. Willie Sojourner 25 1971
2. Bruce Collins 24 1976
3. Willie Sojourner 24 1970
4. Willie Sojourner 24 1969
5. Willie Sojourner 24 1968

ya your right, tal, the 1,000-1,000 club has a total of 1 members.

Did Joel hit 500 boards last night? Quite an accomplishment for just two years, hope he can keep pulling them in.

pretty impressive and he should surpass 300 this yr. he even missed 1 game this yr and we had that uta game that didnt take place. so 2 missed opportunities to add to his average.

I can't believe Joel is already on the cusp of entering WSU's all-time top 20 in rebounding. His sophomore season isn't even over yet! Could he be the first legitimate challenge to Willie's career rebounding record?

What can Joel do this year?

Single game rebounding record is 25. That record has stood foe 43+ years. He could do it if the right game presents itself.

Single season total stands at 411. It has also stood for about the same amount of time. That one may be a little harder, unless we go well into the postseason.

Single season rebounding average stands at 15+ per game. Wow! I would love to see someone get to that.

Let's face it, Willie was a stud. Anyone who gets close to his records will deserve a lot of credit.

Joel can end the year in 3rd or 4th place on the all time rebounding list. He will be in really good company there.
