According to the Missoulia, Bob Stitt has emerged as a candidate to take over the Montana program. Would be a huge get for Montana.

He would look better in Blue and Gold ! Too bad for Mr Dunn as the Collins fiasco is wiping out all the good he has done since he got here !
 
Doubt it seriously. The boosters are boosting for former coach Bobby Hauck, and also mentioning Brent Pease, both much higher profile than any D-II coach.

Want to get a rise out of Montana fans, mention that Ryan Leaf was released from prison last week, just in time to apply for the HC position..

Footballscoop is reporting that Stitt is in Montana interviewing for the UM job right now. Too bad, we could have had this guy 5 years ago. I'm hoping we can nab Wristen a year from now.
 
He's going to have a bit of a grudge against UNC also, not that it matters, but they'll pound us even worse...

Vic Lombardi at Channel 4 reports that Stitt "desperately wanted to stay in state". Of course he is referring to the CSU job, but you have to think if there was an opening at UNC, like there should have been, he would have been interested. What a missed opportunity for the Bears!
 
I am so mad with this entire coaching fiasco !! I think I read that Kay Norton or someone once said that a football program is the front porch for a university, Well ours is crumbling and looks like shit !! Fix it dammit ! I am tired of throwing money at a rusty porch swing !
