Stoops comments on the game

NORMAN Okla.- - For the second straight season the Oklahoma Sooners opened their home season with a win over a Football Championship Series opponent.
The Sooners defense was dominant as they recorded their first shutout since 2006. The Bengals finished the game with –22 yards rushing and just 44 yards of offense for the game.
“We received a tip on a message board that their quarterback was injured in practice,” said Oklahoma Coach Bob Stoops. “ We immediately changed our game plan to focus more on the run, that was the difference in the game.”
The Bengals didn’t cross midfield until mid-way through the third quarter and that drive stalled at the Oklahoma 49 yard line.
Oklahoma will host Tulsa on Saturday.
