Stop Policy of Regressing Athletics Progress

From what I've witnessed of athletics management at PSU, it seems they maintain a policy of reeling back in whenever progress is made in Football, M Basketball and, now, W Basketball.

Why? Are they not actually interested in creating a following? It does not follow that this a law of athletics business. Look at Boise State. They're not stupid. They don't regress at a point of leadership fluctuation.

The way to gather a cult following of PSU Athletics is to create winners and then keep on developing them up. Winners have been created in the past here at PSU, the AD got promoted up the food chain, and then we regress again. Is this normal? Is that expected? Never. Then why regress? They blame the lack of money. Well, where was the money when the previous staff created a winner? Instead, we keep hearing propaganda bromides like "Viks ready to take the next step."

Really? I don't believe it. Which way? Backwards again? Are we waiting for a particular year when we can actually allow ourselves to keep developing programs up instead of backwards again and again? Might this year be the year? Finally?

Enough is enough! I'm sure PSU athletics management must be now the butt of many jokes. Might this year finally be different? Stop this policy of regressing! Stop it.

Now!

We should now be super-well developed in M Basketball way beyond the years of Will Funn, Blake Walker, Seamus Boxley, Jeremiah Dominguez and Scott Morrison. But we're not. This is nonsensical buffoonery.

The same goes for football.

We need a person of VISION to lead us who can also (>yawn<) manage the books.

What we need is a staff with good old-fashioned chutzpah and ambition.

Portlanders just seem to want to semi-retire, play defense and keep things going in their selfish favor. Rich Brooks is a good example before we lit a fire under him after the 1984 season. We need someone who will look after the common good and not just their own well-being. We need Chicago sales types, people who've studied and who APPLY Dale Carnegie precepts. I hope Denny Ferguson knows some hard-hitting Life Insurance sales types who'd like to serve as a service corps retired executive like himself.

My wise brother says that Democrats are compassionate but lack the common sense to make a program efficacious. All they do is throw money at it, inevitably fail and then use politics to blame others for its demise. The truth is, you don't get far on making explanatory bullet-point presentations. You need visionary programs, things that revolutionize the status quo.
