Stott Community Field Is Getting A Summer Makeover

http://goviks.com/news/2016/6/1/athletics-stott-community-field-is-getting-a-summer-makeover.aspx

The Stott Community Field is getting a makeover this summer. Work began on Monday on a resurfacing project to provide a better facility for use by Portland State Campus Recreation, Athletics and the local community.

Stott Community Field originally opened on the PSU campus in 1998. A complete FieldTurf resurfacing project took place in January of 2007. The current resurfacing, again with FieldTurf, will take place over the next four to five weeks.

The field serves campus rec, athletics practices, general student use and is available for rental to the community. The resurfacing project will be completed well in advance of the start of Viking soccer and football practice for the 2016 season.

Meanwhile, Viking Pavilion construction in the adjacent Peter W. Stott Center is also underway. Early work on the upgraded Strength and Conditioning facility is nearing completion. Construction on the Viking Pavilion will continue over the next 18 months.
