Summer

G&P & ALL,
Made practice yesterday, The all looked great. #22, Simba Webster, WR- this young man is going to be hard to contain, if he get behind his defender, no one is going to catch him. He got away a few times yesterday. Our OL looked Outstanding, even the ones with the weird haircuts (Recruits) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-), I saw some of them really holding their own. Long Snapper Curtis Billin, is looking very good. Those long Snappers/K/P, look like lost children, no one to work out with. Nothing negative. Before I go any further, no practice to day in the P.M., just a.m. practice only, Friday there will be two, Saturday Roos Field for the Scrimmage around 9:45a.m.-10:a.m. I noticed another Recruit LB - Trevor Davis Jr., from Tumwater High, he looks very good, then I realized he is from the Matt/Zach Johnson, HS. Some other Players, #69 Will Gram, OL from Troy HS, Idaho, #77 Levi Long - OL, Codi McGuire, OL, #67 Big Ben PuaPuaga, OL, #64 Chris Schlichting, OL, #65-Tristen Taylor, OL. they are all coming into their own. Coach Baldwin and his Coaches are so happy with some of the progression the team is making. Some of the Recruits D/Backs are really doing great. Will be at the 3 P.M. practice on Friday, if the Fire smoke is not very bad. The Air here is terrible. We lost 3 Fire Fighters, one hospital w/90 of burns on his body. Bring tears in my eyes to see what is going on and can't help. God will help. This is part of the area that burn a few years ago. Vic Wallace --p.s.- We need rain very bad in WA. State, and in California to help with these fires.

To All,
I had to say something about our Running Backs/DB, , #2 Jabari Wilson, #28 Jalen Moore, #42 Colin Cossette, #31 Ashanti Kindle, #20 Sam McPherson #33 Malcolm Williams Jr. All, I mean All of them look great, #20 & 33, are two Recruits, and will be filling in when called upon. D/B they are looking so good, they had a few picks yesterday. We all know what the Veterans are capable of doing, my remarks are of the Recruits are going really to be able to fill in.#38 Tysen Prunty, # 26 Dehonta Hayes, #24 Asan Neal-Evergin, #37 Cole Karstetter, #6 Nzuzu Webster,, #30 Savon Simms, they seems small, but thsy surely love hitting, and hitting very hard. #'s 24, 37, & 6 were here last season, but didn't have an opportunity to really play, they will shine from here and out. We have a LB switched to WR #87 Dre 'Sonte Dorton, he and all are looking great. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Curious, is the team limiting their outdoor exposure with the air quality so bad right now? These wildfires have made conditions pretty brutal. It was like breathing campfire air when I was in Cheney last week and I have to assume it's only gotten worse.

LDopaPDX,
The practices we saw they went at least two hours each time. In case you haven't heard, practices will be on Red Turf starting, also Scrimmage on Saturday. Vic

This mornings am practice went 3 hours. It was so nice and cool you could tell the players and coaches were really enjoying it. The air wasn't too bad either.

I'll be posting some practice notes soon that i think you all will be excited about. The wife and I will also be at the pm practice Friday.

To All,
Last Friday Practice started on Roos Field, after about 30 minutes, the smoke and air got so bad, Coach moved the practice into Jim Thorp Fieldhouse, and completed the Practice. Smoke was very bad. Going East from Cheney to Spokane was even worst. Was lot better on Saturday Morning for the Scrimmage. Will be there today Monday at 3 p.m. for practice, if the Air is clear. Vic Wallace

Are teams limited by NCAA to the max number of practices? If so are practices canceled due to bad air rescheduled?

Yes, there's a limited number that can take place and that continues throughout the entire season. In the case of a cancelled practice, it can be re-scheduled. As long as you don't go over the total allowable practices allowed you're good.
