It’s time to put our money where our mouth is. We come on this board and hope for Hornet athletics to succeed, but they will never meet our expectations if they don’t receive our support. Faced with stringent budgets and increasing costs, I am sure the athletic department has become increasingly dependent on monetary support from Hornet alumni, boosters and fans.
I know it is a tough economic time for many people and everyone is faced with their own struggles so I am not implying that anyone unable to contribute to Hornet athletics is not a true fan. There are many ways to support Hornet athletics; whether it is attending games, attending fund raiser events, contributing to a booster club, volunteering at athletic events, or putting a son or daughter through Sac State; each contribution has value for Hornet athletics and the University as a whole.
Given my current residence location, I am unable to attend as many Hornet athletic events as I did as a student or as if I resided in the Sacramento area. Therefore it is easier to support Hornet athletics via contributions to various Hornet athletic booster clubs. Given the fact that I use my free speech rights to criticize and praise multiple programs combined with the great career opportunities my Sac State degree has opened up for me; the least I can do is throw a few dollars towards Hornet athletics. Keep in mind that there is no amount too small or too big when contributing to Hornet athletics as I am sure any program would be grateful for any contribution regardless of the amount. So with that said, here are the various Hornet athletic booster clubs that support our multiple programs:
