49 ft attempts.....WOW...we shot 74%, great to see that!

No one fouled out for Weber although Tresnak, Berry, Bolomboy & Williams each had 4.
SUU had three players who fouled out: A. J. Hess, Jordan Johnson & Chris Nsenki.
Nsenki & Johnson each played 15 minutes & Hess played 7 minutes. . . Not many minutes for fouling out!
None of the three scored any points -- or even attempted any FGs or FTs.
Nesnki had 1 assist, the other two -- none.
Johnson had 1 rebound, the other two none.
None of the three had any steals or blocked shots.
Johnson did have a TO.
With stats like those, you have to wonder, What are their roles???
Hatchet men???
:dunce:
I guess their coach figures asking his team to play tough D and make some stops is unrealistic. Just foul and hope for the miss. I can't imagine that this style of play is going to win many fans - especially when the last 4 mintues of game time take a half hour.
oldrunner said:It's not just the last four minutes. They are coached to grab, hold, push, and hack, all game long. Maybe the refs need to just call it all, and send teams to the line 70 times before SUU decides that it is not the way basketball is supposed to be played. I'm sure that the refs get tired of blowing their whistle or trying to make it even by calling ticky tack stuff on the other end. Just foul their starters out in the first half, like they deserve, and maybe, just maybe, it will change.
It's got to be a great recruiting tool for Robinson. "Come to SUU. We will make you into a hack. You will love it."

It's gonna be fun to hate SUU
