SUU thread

This was a classic trap game then add in Sorenson's senior day (Sorenson has always given us fits). We usually win these games, this time we didn't. Give SUU credit and move on. Time to re-focus.... I believe this is a mentally strong team and that they'll do so. Now the question is, will the fans come out for the final two home games since they (gasp) lost?

Time to flush this one and focus on winning all of our remaining games. I actually don't think the Qb situation is that big a deal, both of them played fine. It wasn't KP's fault that we had several dropped passes in the end zone on our last possession or that the receivers couldn't see the ball with the sun.

It was a really costly fumble by Bronson in the end zone there and a horrible time to miss a damn FG at the end of the game, but give credit to SUU, they played a good game.

Time to re-group and re-focus. This loss could either be the best thing for the team or the worst. Just win out and we'll be in damn good shape at 9-2.

the weather for those last two games will effect attendance far more than this loss will.

The good thing about FCS is that the Cal Poly game isn't really diminished by the loss. If anything, it becomes a bigger game for us because if we lose, we'll be on the brink and going into two consecutive must-win games for our playoff lives. And yeah, at EWU, history shows weather seems to be the biggest factor on how many people come to the game. Late season games have always been a much tougher draw than early season games.

Well, hopefully this acts as a wake up call because we have not been playing complete games all year. This game should have been a two score win.

We need to figure out our qb situation ASAP because otherwise we are going to be in trouble in the playoffs. If we're not careful we are going to be 8-3 and playing the opening weekend in the play in game.

8-3 and a play-in game? Yo, we just lost to a team that on form isn't any better than UC Davis or Portland State. I'm honestly just hoping we make the playoffs. If we don't see some toughness, I could see this team just continuing to slide. Hope not, but it's time for some soul searching.

This ain't the old BSC where you had 1 - at most 2 dangerous opponents, and another 1-2 who could bite you when asleep. There are at least 8 teams in this conference with enough talent to be playoff teams and enough talent to win games against FBS. You have to bring it every week and if you don't, this can happen.

We lost two fumbles, had an interception, a blocked punt, and a missed field goal. Just like the UND game was a complete team win, this was a complete team loss.

The red zone offense was frustrating to watch, and I think, with Pulu out, losing Evan Cook really hurt us down the stretch.

As Ranger pointed out...time to move on.

No... Time to learn from our mistakes and correct them. You can't lose focus against an opponent you have the talent to knockout. You need to throttle down and take it to them for 60 minutes. If you allow them to stay around, you run the risk of losing late.

But yeah, no question the Big Sky has very thin margins of error. Really wish we had Idaho State on the sked, they seem the only walkover.

#1 this loss hurt bc EWU shd have killed SUU
#2 the Big Sky is full of capable teams that can smack u ESPECIALLY on the road.
#3 Eastern will make the playoffs but they're gonna be in for a fight. This isn't 2010, and Taiwan Jones can't bail EWU out by busting 8 tackles every play. This TEAM is going to have to work for every W.
