Tailgating? (Sep 19 - 1st home game)

To bad someone...not going to name names PURPLEFOGDOG...Left it sitting in the middle of the Dee parking lot. In his defense, he was a bit purplexed by the Wildcats sudden and totally unpredictable loss.
Tailgating does happen...and there is a very committed group of tailgaters...It may be small but it is surely fierce. Last basketball season, a group of us met at the Victory Tree and tailgated in half a foot of snow, four hours before tip-off while the Weber State duders cleaned off the Dee parking lot. That has got to be one of my fav. experiences as a Weber State fan! We started out with 5 committed tailgaters, and by the end of the basketball season there was close to 50 chillin and hanging out, with another 30-40 who would stop by for a min. GOOD TIMES...by the way, when is PURPLEFOGDOG going to paint the victory tree?
The best part of tailgating is spending the day with good friend, eating great food, and talking Weber State athletics with CATCAT and CHEESUS (Wazzu gets in on the action most of the time too).

Does anyone know if Weber has an official tailgate policy for home football games? I have attended a few that were organized by the Wildcat Club and families of the players. It has always been a good time and a great way to meet other Wildcat fans. Hope for more this year.

Best Tailgates last season:

at Sac State - Huge Weber group due to many CA players' families and friends
at Cal Poly - The tailgate continued long after the game because none of us wanted to leave after the big win
at ISU - great fans, great food, good weather
home vs. EWU - Best home tailgate last season

As far as I know WSU doesn't have an official tailgate policy.

Since tailgating hasn't been very big basically anything goes...my only advice would be to be in the North parking lot with the others. No one tailgates at the Dee (then shuttle to game) or in the South/West and West parking lot of Stewart.

LOL we'll probably have the entire lot full in 2010 when UM comes back to Ogden!

I'm not saying we're hardcore, but we tailgate at every U game. Can't beat hanging with family and friends sucking down cold ones. Great time, i'm looking forward to checking out your team this year at your place.

yeah man that grill ruled. My dad said we can use his this year. I just hope we can get more people to come out this year to the games and tailgating. although i am looking forward to victory dews as much as i am tailgating, we should be able to drink quite a few of them this year.

I think i parked here the last time i went to a game in Ogden, is this a dirt parking lot? Did it used to be a dirt lot, i remember walking through a dirt and gravel lot when we went up there.

It's all asphalt now, they used to have 3 over flow parking lots that were gravel on the north side of the stadium but were paved a few years ago.

Football is almost here!!!

I know there will be a few of us graduates that will be tailgating in the north end zone and we figure the more the merrier. So if you're looking for some people to BBQ with let us know. And BYOB. Can't wait for the season. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Come tailgate the first game!!! Come one come all!!

WSU tailgating group on facebook, search & join: Weber State Tailgating

Me and Mrs.AJWILDCAT will be there!! If you come bring a friend. Wait, let me restate. You all better come to all the home games and always bring a friend.
