Taking on the Utes Tonight

Wow, what a difference a year makes -- ISU and Utah have gone from two of the most conservative teams to two of the faster-paced teams -- at least in their own little part of the western world. Should be an interesting game tonight -- Utah is leading the nation in two-point shooting (63 percent) and averaging almost 88 points a game. ISU, while not in that league, is averaging almost 80 and shooting 44 percent from three. The Utes have really improved their athleticism, in particular adding PG Delon Wright, who is nearly averaging a triple double.

Defense and rebounding will be at a premium for the Bengals tonight in the Huntsman Center. If you can't make it to SLC, Jerry and I will have the broadcast, beginning with the pre-game show, at 6:30. It's also on the PAC-12 network. Go Bengals!

With ISU's results in the last two road games at USF and Bakersfield, I have some renewed hope for a more competitive season in BBall. We'll see with the next two road games, but we seemed to have stocked our shelves with better athletes, too. I see a more aggressive team going to the rim rather than relying on jump shots. It's been fun thus far. All my balloons still have air in them. Regardless, I think the fun will continue. Go Bengals!
