This is huge. Sac-area TV hasn't aired Hornet Football (that I know of, anyway) since Channel 3 did so during the mid-'80s....
 
Great news.

Just turned to CW on my TV as a Comcast subscriber in the SF Bay Area and it comes up. channel 12

Huge for Sac State

Enormous media market

remember those years as many posters on this board do not. All good.

Always baffling that we got a few games on TV in the Div II years and then it all went away as the program moved up. Such great news today

Um, I said Orr is making his mark. Never said anything specific about on the field product.

Off the field he’s gotten the team a TV deal, moved the radio broadcast to a bigger, more popular station, and changed up some of the game day stuff.
 
So then why no TV deal following the 7 win season in 2014, which was also coached by Sears?

Orr and his connections made the deal a possibility, no doubt last years 7 win season helped it get done as well.
 
We got the tv deal because of the 7-4 record, and the expectation of a good season this year. In 2014 we didn't get a tv deal, or want a tv deal. The expectation was not good in 2015, we went 2-9. If we go 2-9 this year then the tv deal was a bad idea. I don't expect this to happen.
 
This broadcast is a train wreck. Aaron Garcia was NOT a good choice for a color guy, one has to generally WANT to talk if they’re gonna be a broadcaster.

Misspelled words all over the graphics. Not sure why they don’t just simulcast with JRoss. Cameras are giving me a seizure with the shaking.

Agree, should be Ross and McElroy...
 
would never know that Garcia played at Sac State . Do not recall him saying anything about being a Hornet football player. Was very odd. And he needs to not snort after he talks. But will give him a pass as this is his first broadcast and he is a Sac State grad and know he will get better. Did like the footage better than Big Sky Tv over the years. but was hoping CW would have a camera that had a view of the west side of the stadium during breaks in the game as it continues to look like Hornet football games have no fans wit the empty east side of the stadium being shown most of the time . That all being said, great start tonight and

and Stingers Up.
