Terrible decision making on the last drives

Some prople are such whiners!! This is not the National Championship Team. This is a brand new year, with new players and new leaders.

The Washington Game was scheduled a couple years ago, the Montana game is a series that rotates every year from one home field to another, so the only game we could have scheduled differently was the South Dakota game and as I understand it no one was looking to play in Cheney when school is not in session, not even EWU

Put for fans to call out kids reference injuries is really tacky. We old folks who post on here could not go out and play a Div.1 football game or quarter or one solid play at our stages in life. So to call out an athlete for an injury is IMO tacky as it gets. I've been known to call in to work sick when I have a headache or tummy ache so I do know that these young men are quite a bit tougher than I am.

Lets get behind them, hope they can win out and hope we can have another playoff run. If not lets enjoy this season the best we can and lets not go to name calling and calling out players or coaches.

As was said earlier, we won alot of close games last year with a 1700 yrd back who is now in the pros and with the Buck Buchannan Winner now playing in the CFL. Do we not think that we would miss either of these two great players? Those two are worth 3 points any day of the year, so we are not far from turning this around.

I few more solid supportors who will stand behind the team through thick and thin and to He-- with all the fair weather fans. You decide which group you belong to!!!

Don't give me this crap about not being a true fan unless you stand up for this team... that is bullshit. I've been here since '79 and will be here long after many of you find new hobbies. I've followed this team from thousands of miles away, and still found reason to fly to Cheney to catch the games.

Liking what our team is doing and stadning behind the team are entirely different. I'm sick of seeing a team this immensely talented play like garbage. It is disgusting. We are in a situation where we might start the season worse than any Eagle team in 28 years... for a defending national champion to play like that is just plain wrong.

Guys who have played for Eastern over the past 20 years or so would have been foaming at the mouth to play that weak Griz team. They literally tried to hand us the game, but we never made any plays. Hell, they gave us the ball at midfield with just a few minutes left to go on a game wining drive and we just choked. The UM game is a big rivalry that a lot of people care about, so to see a team just trip on themselves when they had a great shot at winning is disturbing.

And this can't be cast entirely upon the kids. The Admin straight screwed up big time by putting them on the road for 3 straight weeks. Important programs don't do that to their teams. This has been an epic failure all the way around. I hope we get back to winning, and I sort of feel like we will this weekend so long aqs the kids still feel there is somethign to play for. I hope more than anything that our Admin has learned this type of scheduling is a total faux pas and should never stick us in this kind of situation again.

You said it all with a great email. I am with the small? thick and thin group. I'm tired of hearing about the schedule, the three game road trip is over, and there are eight very important games ahead. Let's get behind the team.

I agree, on all accounts, except schedule. I think it was a move that had to be made (scheduling an FCS over a DII), but I agree that it sucked that the guys were thrust into that situation. Definitely a Lose Lose. Spo, you said it...8 more in front of us, so let's go!!!
