Not a surprise....Better rivalries with all the Dakota schools in the same conference....with South Dakota, NDSU being powers in the conference I wonder how long they can keep up.

It's a much better situation for them in the Summit/MVFC and probably a better situation for the Big sky with the excessive travel costs associated with the olympic sports.

The move just makes sense. Sucks for them if they continue be on the upward trend they currently are on, and have to compete in 2018 and 2019 without playoff eligibility. Always good to have a non conference friendly foe for future scheduling.

They are eligible for the playoffs, just not the Big Sky championship. They could still have the best record in the Big Sky, but would not be awarded the championship. They would still get into the playoffs in type of situation, they just wouldn't get the auto bid.

UND will deserve a playoff spot if record dictates. They have a tough(er) schedule next year and had a good team last year which should have beat Richmond. They field competitive teams in all sports and are a good academic school. Cost of running athletic teams is a point of emphasis for schools and travel is crazy expensive. BSC is just too big so the move makes since for all involved.
