Yes to all the above.

Well done Weber State on a successful season, a winning record and a bright outlook for the future. 2016 can't come soon enough

Also yes congrats SUU for winning the Sky. Hopefully your reward for winning it outright isn't a trip to Missoula. Happened to us in 2008 and I wouldn't put it past the selection committee.

I'm so happy with the football team and their improvement this year. It was nice to watch 4 home victories this year.

Looking forward to an even better 2016!

What a season by our Cats. I'm proud of what the team was able to accomplish, and how much of an improvement they made these past two seasons under Jay. Now...we need to worry about keeping most of our coaches during this off-season, and continue building the program. I think the Sky's the limit for Coach Hill and his Wildcats. Thank you for such a fun season!

Okay...now, lets talk about where we can improve:

QB play is very iffy. We all know that Jadrian will be the guy going into Spring Ball, and most likely headed into August. I don't see the current players shaking things up too much. Only if a drop down shows up or the Cats recruit a stellar JC/HS player. Even then...I think we are stuck with Jadrian. He needs to really improve his passing ability.

WR...YIKES...we need a couple of receivers bad. We have a lot on the roster and it seems like most of them just aren't very good. We have a handful of really efficient TEs and they will only get better. I'm hoping that a couple of our redshirt guys show up and make an impact next year.

Other than that...Weber is set. That should really scare the Big Sky.

Agreed on all counts, If our offense can put some points on the board more effectively next year, and with the Defense we have, whoo, watch out Big Sky

I agree the improvements the past two seasons have been notable and exciting. I agree with Mr. L that seeing some home wins this season was both very much needed and great to experience.

I've heard some rumors of Taysom Hill playing out his last year of eligibility at Michigan (or somewhere like that) Wouldn't he have to sit out yet another year if he made a move like that? If so, Hill to Weber State instead, to lead the Wildcats deep into the playoffs.

Isn't one of the TEs high on ncaa's "drop" stats? I might not be remembering right but I thought we had one that dropped a pretty high percentage. Hill2WSU is just tongue-in-cheek but I'll bet he would spark the interest of a few quality receivers who might be interested in the P-n-W instead of riding pine elsewhere. Just daydreaming out loud.

Hill would be a graduate-transfer, so he would be allowed to transfer anywhere and not have to sit out. Coach Hill showed this season that he had no intention of replacing Clark at QB no matter how bad he played, so I wouldn't expect that he will go out seeking a replacement during the off-season.

The reason he refused to replace Clark is because they don't have a better QB than Clark at the moment

That's debatable

Does anyone really think that Jaridan Clarke could start for any other D1 school in the country other than Weber State at QB???? I certainly don't think so, maybe as a linebacker?
Let's face it there was no improvement from Game 1 to Game 11. At the QB position. He threw 2 INT's in the end zone during game 11 and almost had another one picked off by the linebacker of ISU to the house.
Number one rule of any good QB is ball security and Clarke does protect the ball. It took him until game 11 to see him throw the ball out of bounds for the first time instead of taking a sack.
He's just not a very smart QB, Slow Slow Slow on his reads, which I actually don't think he makes reads, I find him just staring down receivers until they clear. More important that a QB have a great touch than a big gun, Clark has neither. Did you see that 40 yard Duck last game....And who says it's not duck season in Weber County.
WSU had an outstanding offensive line and protection. Look at how many sac's were giving up by the O-line this season, it was extremely low. The fact is they didn't bring in someone line Green because if Green or anyone else started putting up numbers mid year, Clark the OC would of looked like he didn't know what he was doing which was obvious to everyone watching this season. But I agree with what was said earlier, we are stuck with him so hopefully we can get Wilkes and the Run game going on Offense next year, because nothing is going to change with a QB going into his senior year. If he hasn't figured it out by now he never will.

Who would be better? Green? As much as I loved him last year, if you go to practice and watch him play he's just completely lost whatever he had at the beginning of last year.

The depth chart at QB is: Clark, Shaw, Leckington, and Green. Zach Hymas has another year on his mission and from what I can tell, we are not recruiting any JC QBs. I do have my fingers crossed that a certain QB who red-shirted and walked on at Oregon State decides he wants to come back to Utah. We are playing his former team to start off the season. I'm thinking he would love to play them. Exact some revenge.

But, out of who we have, who is better?

Congrats, especially to Joe. Well earned award for him after a solid career.

Thought Emmett should have been a 1st teamer. And nothing for Josh Burton?

All but two of those are back next season. :-D
