The PAC/MWC Dominoes Begin to Fall

Yeah, sports and passionate in the BW don’t equate. Instead of the bus league, this will be the commuter league made up of schools that invest half of what Sac does in their sports, with many, if not all with sub par D1 facilities just like the Hornets who are trying to distance themselves from staring in the mirror.

If you are obese and trying to lose weight, you don’t hang out with the neighborhood kids at the same ice cream parlor.
How many Hornet fans have travelled to see our teams play at the BSC locations? Personally, I've only seen the Hornets play BSC opponents at the Nest or neutral site locations (Reno and Boise). BSC hoops has had some good teams over the years, but none of them had to the pull for me to hop on a plane and then drive into the mountains during the winter months when the Hornets were at their venue.

Contrast that with the potential trips to BW members. Hit up a Hornet game or two on a family trip to the Central Coast? Very likely to happen. Disney trip with some Hornet games sprinkled in? Very likely to happen. Hit up Hornet games when visiting family in SoCal? For sure going to happen. Drive down the valley to catch the Hornets play at Bako? High possibility of that happening.

I don't expect our fans to travel in droves to see road Hornet games, but I'd bet we'll see a lot more Hornet fans in the stands at road BW games compared to what we have seen for BSC games.

I think there is something to that. TX State is running out the clock to force the PAC's hand. Sac State is on the back end saying you can have us for cheap. Leaked stories about Sac State or a bombshell school in order to push back on Tx State.

It is unlikely Sac gets the call, unless TX State overplays their hand. But there are definitely negotiations being done through the media.
Yeah the PAC has no leverage and they are in the 11th hour of landing a current FBS program as their 8th full member needed to remain an FBS conference. There's a lot on the line for OSU & WSU as I believe they have to give their inherited old PAC monies back to the old members if the PAC does not remain an FBS conference. I think there is another year left for the 2 PAC to figure it out, but for current FBS members they are targeting, their departure notices need to go out to their current conferences by the end of this June or else the cost for those programs to leave goes up substantially. Plus there are scheduling and other issues that come into play if they can't get their notices in by the end of the month.

Regarding our situation, there was some tweets about a Plan B but I can't fathom what could possibly be conjured up in time for this year. IMO, the lawfare route seems the only viable option unless Dr. Wood wants to pay his way into a FB only invite to CUSA or something like that.

Maybe we leave the NCAA and team up with the P4's to form a cabal outside the NCAA?
SEC, Big, others have wanted this and there is speculation that the P4 will jettison the NCAA eventually. :ROFLMAO:

I am starting to sound like SH.

That Georgia Tech guy was really on to something. Yep. Sure was.

Why is this board filled with fucking morons?

Since you're talking about my posts, just say my name. Don't dance around it.

Your reading comprehension is low though. He said Pac was having conversations about football only. Nothing that has happened made that statement false. On top of that, I made it clear many times that Sac State wasn't going to get an invite. So what are you even going on about?

I don't see how the lawfare route isn't an option if the he is claiming FBS in '26.
Because, we will be an FCS independent and play 8-9 FBS away games. More FBS opponents than FCS makes us a ‘FBS’ program. :geek:

If we are going to pretend, might as well get fully dressed up.

Supposedly, 2026 is the year the stadium is being built. Still waiting on those updated plans and funding source. So being away all season won’t disrupt anything.

Lets work this out at a tailgate at a game of your choosing this year. I can't wait to see what type of an idiot you are in person and shake your hand.
