The CBI said they felt Obligated to give the "high majors" the home games.........LIARS

Well I found the real reason at 3:45

Because Oregon had finals, they couldnt go on the road. And unless Oregon got a home game, they would not have participated in the CBI and the CBI would not have gotten Oregon's money. There you go. :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs:

If the CBI ever comes calling to Weber again, I hope Weber gives them the FINGER. :hater:

At least the reporter and the coach gave Weber some props, even though we were not at full strength vs AZ St and BYU.

good catch Wildcat. As you said Money talks, and Oregon had the most of any CBI team. If the tournament wanted Oregon, it had to dance to their tune.

question:

ducks had a low turnout. Attendance: 4,375. would it have been more feasible to have had the game at the dee in retrospect?

i am not sure how to compare ticket prices but soley based on attendance what would the number have been in ogden? our season average was 6,000. with oregon in ogden i think it is safe to say we could have exceeded 6,000 if we were able to get over 7,000 for idaho state.

the game was on a wednesday night, the night before the ncaa tourney first rd started. i think 8,000+ seems reasonable.

Look at it this way, Oregon fans saw a game vs Weber State.

Weber fans would have seen a game vs OREGON.

Im willing to bet money Weber would have had AT LEAST 7K

Hell...this is the kind of things that really piss me off. Weber should have had a home game last March in the CBI. The Tourny officials should have sent UM to Oregon and had Duqsene (sp?) come to Ogden. I for one know that Weber would have played a lot better in front of their home crowd, and a crowd would have shown up, as well as have been a better representative for the conference. Weber has the best Big Sky stadium, has owned the best conference attendance, and has a fan base that loves basketball. Dumb decision on their part. If it is about exposure, then the CBI should have kept Weber in Ogden.
