They are calling him "money"

Went to the final scrimmage on Saturday, which wasn't really a scrimmage. But I do think there is some worthy news to report. I believe I witnessed the emergence of a real kicker for UNC. Seth Czapenski #96 a freshman kicker from Northridge in Greeley. He hit every kick he attempted during the situational portion of the practice. I believe his long was from 45 yards or so. After every kick the kids on the team were calling him "Money" and one of the lineman went as far as carrying him off the field after one of his FGs.

It also looks like the other freshman kicker, Bailey Landwehr, has won the job for kickoffs.

Maybe UNC will actually have something that resembles a reliable kicking game this season.

One final note, I noticed Chapelle was once again in street clothes. Hope he isn't having knee problems again.

Let's hope they both step up. Special Teams was so horrible last season.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. Could feel the wind come out of the team on some of the missed FGs last year.

Also, a quick correction to my earlier post. Seth's long FG on Saturday was from 51 yards and he hit it right down the middle.

1-5 is not "money" - there's a difference between practice and a game. You might be "money" in practice but that doesn't win games. 13-12 at UNLV with two missed field goals - SMH

Did anyone see the Penn State game last weekend? They showed how they prepare their field goal kicker in practice by yelling at him (real up close yelling) and squirting him with water while he is kicking it. I wonder if we do something similar?

They should definitely be trying to do something, but from the practices I attended it looks like the kickers are pretty much off on their own 95% of the time.

They should be doing that to Collins to teach him how to coach under pressure. Also, although I hope I'm wrong as the season goes it will probably become more and more apparent the all the boys are left alone as far as coaching and preparation goes.
