Northern is who we thought they were, hard to ignore their record and the 1 point loss at Oklahoma. After EWU beat MSU in Bozeman yesterday it leaves us and Northern tied for 1st again. To finish out the first half of conference play we share 2 common opponents. Northern has PSU and EWU on the road back to back this weekend before hosting Sac St. Weber will head to ISU Saturday, before hosting PSU and EWU back to back at home to wrap up the first half. Montana plays 6 of their next 8 on the road(1 of the home games during this stretch is us), PSU got shellacked by the Griz, and I'm still trying to figure out how MSU beat Northern by 24, especially after Eastern beat them at home yesterday. EWU lost to BYU by 60 for hell sakes, and lost to Chicago St. who was 0-10 at the time. I watched yesterdays game and EWU's true Freshman Glen Dean was very impressive.

I think we will finish the first half of conference play alone in first place we should be able to handle ISU this weekend, and PSU and EWU at home. I think Northern will trip up and split 1-1 on the NorthWest road trip. The bad news is in the 2nd half of conf. play Weber will have the Montana/MSU, and PSU/EWU road trips while Northern is done with those. The good news is we still get Northern at home.

At a glance the MSU win over Northern was huge, and we need Northern to split their roady this weekend.

It's too bad Northern plays PSU on the front end of the back to back. Who knows maybe Eastern can crack Northern while their tired, and even though Eastern will play NAU the night before they will be at home, won't be traveling like Northern will, and hopefully have some confidence after beating MSU.

I can tell you guys exactly how MSU beat Northern Colorado by 24..First it was a 2 point game at the half and right before the half our Starting C/F goes down for the rest of the game and we can't seem to get a rebound and all of the 2nd possessions that MSU got were wide open 3's that were hit the whole night. On the offensive side it looked as if the Bears were just being lazy and taking bad shots. I don't think anyone can expect that again especially considering after that game on a back to back they went up to UM and beat the Griz on the ROAD!
