This weeks Home Attendence Strategy...

I love that last week Bovee wrote a letter to the ticket holders and personally invited them to the game. Thy would be cool if something else like that were done. The two free ticket vochers I believe helped. What do you think helped the most in getting 7,505 to the game? Was it the 5 for $20 promo? The quick change? A Saturday night game? He best team coming to town? The letter and free tickets? The game on tv? Maybe a combination of all? I loved the crowd and the lowdness at the end after Scott B. Made that shot. Extremely loud. I'm glad that the Dee looked filled on tv, imagine that buzzer beater on tv without people there? Will Scott B.'s shot bring the crowd back to maybe see hm play? Need everyone to invite, text, facebook, email or whatever it takes to get at least 7500 at the game. Oh, and loved joker at the end, it's magical!!! Thank you... Oh, and student attendence was good on Saturday!

The Montana's always get good crowds. The history between the teams is usually enough to get butts in the seats. However, I'm hoping there are some promos happening to. Every bit helps. The Cats really need to get W's this week. We can't let the grizz or bobcats go home with a W. Weber needs their crowd to be large and in charge (wow that was so bengalhater of me) this week. I'm hoping for 8K on Sat and 7,500 on Thursday.

WSUfan, as you said, lost in the excitement over Bamforth's winning last shot: the fact that Joker and Thief were played at one of the last time outs. I believe, it is magical!

Its like I said in the other thread, I wish this game was the Saturday game, weekend games always get the bigger crowds. But I think the name Montana is enough to get people to the game, we have more history with Montana than anybody, that includes instate teams, Idaho State is next at 109. Thats why we usually seem to get the biggest crowds when we play ISU and UM.

I think we get over 7k for both, not quite getting to 8k

I actually said on a other thread that Joker and the Thief was played.

A good strategy would be to play UM on Sat, not Thurs. Also having the Sat game at 4 pm will not help attendance. It will take a dip this week. Why is the Sat game at 4 pm? Who is the smart one that planned that and why?

The game is on the Altitude. Last week was our first ever home game on the Altitude for regular season since the game of the week started. We get another one, which is great and an earlier start time is ok.

I heard at the game that they are doing a $3 kids day for the Montana game and for Saturday I have seen an ad for Megamind on the megatron after the game for students.

They could hand out free stuff again, I was at the UNC game an hour early to get a free hat.

Looking at the magnet I got, It doesnt seem like they have any other good halftime shows for the rest of the year.

They could ask the Jazz Bear to come back.

The Saturday at 4 doesnt really bother me, Its saturday night so not a whole lot of people are going to be working. If we beat Montana we will get at least 6k against the bobcats on Sat, if we lose to the griz I think we slip into the high 5,000's for sat. Im hoping for another high 7k for Montana, but a weeknight game might only draw about 6,500ish

Because it is UM I'm thinking there are going to be a lot of people tonight, not as many as there would have been if the game were on a Saturday night.

I'm glad that I use this board. I had absolutely no idea that the MSU game was at 4. Yikes, that would have sucked showing up at the Dee after the game had started. I think we need to do a good job of spreading this information around town and the community. Text, email, facebook, twitter, tell your neighbors send letters, hell I don't know, make sure everyone knows the game is at 4.

Has anyone seen or heard of any promotion to the game tonight? I hope they do at least a 5 for $20 deal...Anything is the paper?

Wildcat basketball back home tonight at 7:00 against league-leading Montana. It's American Family Insurance Kids Night where all kids 17 and under get in for just $3.00 each. Come cheer on the 'Cats in this key Big Sky game against the Grizzlies.

Thanks for getting this posted AJ.

Has anyone seen the promotion for Saturday? Its military appreciation day... If the department keeps doing these type of days they need to go to their target audience. For Military: VA, Active Duty, Reserve Units, National Guard units (Air and Army), other Veteran groups (VFW).

Did anyone go to the ogden raptors games this summer? They gave out free tickets to the games. the seats were crappy but they filled every game. We NEED TO DO THIS!!! Ive been saying this forever! Give out the last 2 rows along the top for free at mcdonalds walmart anywhere. No one buys the tickets along the top rows anyway so its not like we lose money. There is not a bad seat in the Dee so no one can complain. The raptors lets you upgrade your ticket for 5 bucks to a regular seat so maybe let them also do that for a little lower one. Plus all the people who get in free now have that extra money to buy consessions and team apparel at the game, and really who wont come to a free game to see the cats play. Ive been saying this til im blue in the face. I havent come accross any holes yet altho im sure there is some. I dunno what do you guys think?

Ya really can't do that without alienating season ticket holders, and families that buy the family season tickets.

Raptors control their concessions, where Weber's is contracted out.

Well thats why you pay for season tickets is to get the seat you want every game where as a free seat is going to be the worst in the house (or the ones no one wants to buy) and you wont get the same seat each time. Im saying top 2 rows that no one buys anyway. Dont give away empty seats next to someone who paid for lower bowl. And you know weber state makes some money off a $4 large soda even if they are contracted out. Just get people into the building. were doin it for the players. they wanna see a full house. and you never know. someone with a free ticket may like what they see and want more so they buy one next time..

When some of us met with WSU a few years back we brought up giving tickets away like the rapters do, and this was brought up. Carters (if they are the same group running it now) runs the food for all of WSU, the athletic department tried to get out of the blanket contract and Carters said all or none. WSU makes the same amount from Carters whether they sell ten drinks or a million. If it was up to me I would have a clause in the contract with incentives, if fans buy more food carters pays more dough (pun intended... )
