This year.....And next year

This season started with a lot of hope. Lost to WYO at the last minute and I think we all thought this was going to be a great year. Then, the EWU loss which was really the turning point. The defense got exposed in that game and has been suspect ever since. :yikes:
So ,what can we expect on Saturday?

A team that has given up on the year?
Coaches who will start building for next year by giving some younger players experience?

There needs to be some changes before next year with defensive coaching - at least that much is obvious.
Coach Mac has to let one of them go (or maybe both of them). A team with two starting QB's really doesn't have a QB. One person has to be in charge and accountable.

It is so frustrating to have the opposing offense ready to snap the ball and our defense looking to the sideline for their assignment, unacceptable. Something has to happen, and this is an example that '2 heads ARE NOT better than 1'

It was a team loss, Defense held Montana to only 1 TD in the 2nd half, where was our Offense? A team wins and a team loses together, just a really bad game all around.

True - the offense did stink it up. They should have scored more than they did, but they played with a new sophomore quarterback in his first start. It should be expected that the O would struggle in this game.

The WSU defense was not challenged much in the second half because Montana did not play many starters and ran the ball to eat up clock as they had a huge lead.
Both offense and defense stunk it up on Saturday, but the defense has consistently struggled since the Edub game.
