Wow...kinda big news from today's Bee story on Diniz. Gordon, Reed and Hendershott all to miss the rest of the season and take medical redshirts. Makes sense since they've already missed half of this year

While we are on the Diniz subject, he was named BSC special teams POTW and Placekicker of the Week by College Football Performance.

I wasn’t going to mention it but since the Bee just jinxed him, why not pour it on. :x

And regarding the redshirts, I was hoping on seeing solid performances from these guys but having them around next year won’t hurt. I hope they play with a vengeance next season.

Congratulations to Chris Dinez who has proven beyond doubt that he is one of the premier kickers in the nation at any level. These past few summers I have had the opportunity to watch some of the most noted BCS kickers compete against each other, and none are better than Chris Dinez.

And that's the kind of article the SacBee should produce weekly, not just after one of our own gets national attention. Spread the love and let the community get to know this generation of Honets. I especially appreciated the Bees referrence to Dinez's humility and his consistant and dilligent work ethic. That is how he should be judged, not if he finishes the season "perfect".

Congrats to Diniz! He's certainly earned the accolades, and is a tremendous player for the Hornets. His younger brother, Jason, joined the team this year as a freshman. Hopefully the Diniz family success continues as a dynasty.
