What is up with jacking the ticket prices for the Griz game? "Cause we can" does not cut it. The only time the prices change at Wa/Griz is during the playoffs, and then they go down I believe. NCAA dictates then.

If you are looking for a legit answer, you won't get it here. None of us, that I know of, work for or make decisions for PSU. I can only speculate that it is purely economics. More demand for this game and the price goes up. I think, although I don't recall for certain, that when Grambling came to Pdx a few years back the tix cost more too.

Actually if you look at the Griz ticket prices they do go up for Homecoming and Griz/Cat games. EWU does the same thing, and I'm pretty sure nearly every school has a few games, or few opponents that they charge more for - Oregon charges more for Washington and OK games this year, for example. I'm pretty sure every away game Notre Dame plays is the most expensive ticket for the home team.

It's a compliment to the Griz that other teams in the league raise the price for this game - excellence comes at a price.

Athletic Departments know that supporters will pay... And they're right ;-)
