Vaughn Autry, a much tauted 2009 Grizz recruit, is transfering. Vaughn Autry will still have three years of eligibility left. Right now there is speculation that he is returning to Southern California.
In my opinion, I felt that Vaughn Autry was progressing towards becoming a good Big Sky guard. Even though, it might have been best if he would have red-shirted this past year. From what I saw, he wasn't quite ready for DI ball; however, he did have a great game against Weber in Missoula. If nothing else, an extra year would have given him more experience, a better understanding of Tinklebells system, and most importantly, he would have had two years running the team after Cherry graduated. I think playing behind Cherry for the next two seasons might have been a reason behind his departure.
Too bad for the Grizz. I wish Vaughn luck in his future endeavors.
