BEARS STILL PERFECT: Despite not having played a home game, Northern Colorado is off to a 5-0 start after taking down Texas Southern and Air Force to win the Reggie Minton Air Force Classic last week. The Bears are 5-0 for the first time since 1984 and just the fifth time since 1901. Tad Boyle’s Bears thumped Air Force 70-46 on Saturday, marking the program’s first win over the Falcons since Feb. 16, 1956. Air Force had won 77 of its previous 93 home games. Northern Colorado was just 4-14 in road or neutral-court games last season. The Bears have two tournament titles on their resume so far, and are now ranked No. 25 in the College Insider.com Mid-Major Poll. Northern Colorado is one of 15 Division I teams who have yet to play a home game. The other 14 teams have won a total of six games. Northern Colorado will try to make it six wins away from home on Friday at North Dakota.
This is really amazing to see this team winning on the road in difficult places to win (Air Force) And I hope we can make it 7-0 bye smashing the Rams!!! Go Bears!
