I personally think we 6-0 is best case scenario

I fundamentally disagree.

You fundamentally disagree with 6-0 as being the best case scenario? How does it get better than that?

It was supposed to be a joke. :ohno:

Going undefeated as a best case scenario kind of goes without saying doesn't it?

Math and the way of the wordsmith are usually tangent universes

:flag:

Tangent universes? Aren't you both lineman? :?

Didn't anyone ever tell you, Kalm? Offensive linemen are the smartest dudes on the field!

Right? One might be lead to believe that this forum is devoid of anyone who is familiar with Plato's theses in The Republic or The Sophist and are completely ignorant to the rules of informal logic (to say nothing of formal.)

In the context provided, proper colloquial spelling of the word would be "led," not "lead." Great work, OL. You only made it 5 words into your thought before the fail.

Another little known fact about o lineman. We have fat fingers that don't work well with phones.

Montana State is back in a big way with McGhee healthy again. Both of those Montana schools are going to be tough games; none of the others (sans Idaho State) are pushovers. There's no margin of error on this schedule. It sure would have been nice to be pasting Valparaiso, Mississippi Valley State, Houston Baptist, or Butler that week when we were getting beat by Toledo.

I would have taken a 2nd bye week and play 11 games rather than play the Toledo game, but in all honesty I'm not sure it really hurt us. I don't think we would be ranked any higher if we would have beaten a patsy FCS team at home because we still lost to Sam Houston.

Now, had we lost to OSU, we would be in trouble right now...which is why the 2nd FBS game stinks...

Yeah, Baldwin bailed Chaves' ass out by winning in Corvallis. Without that win, Chaves would have another round of tough questions to answer.

It will be interesting to see how we fill our Aug 30 game next year, that is the last open slot, assuming we leave our bye at the end of the year. If we play a D2 or an FCS home game, we will have a nice little schedule, if we schedule another road game, we will have 4 of 5 to start the year on the road.

I think the schedule is complete as of now. There are 4 OOC games already, because the Montana State road game is one of those "pre-ban" contract OOC games (I think it's Montana State, if not it's a different conference opponent). We're scheduled to open against either Montana Northern or Montana Western, then travel to Washington, then OOC Montana State, then at home versus Sam Houston State.

I love the 2014 schedule, other than the 3 out of 4 stretch on the road against tough opponents to begin the season, like this year. BUT, UW will be without Keith Price, MSU will be without McGhee, NAU will be without Bauman, and we also have UND, ISU, and UNC on the docket. Mmmmm, cupcakes. :D
