Towson board

Don't be expecting to engage in any banter on the Towson board this week.
I signed up for a username two weeks ago and got my log in no problem.
Since then, I've posted no less than ten messages on different threads and not one of them have shown up.
It says that a moderator will review the post and then it will be posted. So far, no posts accepted...
And not one of those aforementioned posts have been smack talk, just banter about EWU and FCS in general.

Here's the board if anyone is interested in trying:

Looks like FormerEag got something posted (admittedly agreeing that we didn't play well yesterday so that might explain why it was accepted). They don't seem to think much of our chances against them after their upset of EIU. "The Big Sky is having a down year" "EWU is overrated" The usual stuff that we hear from east coast teams that are coming out to play anyone other than Montana. It will be interesting to see if that continues to be the general consensus there and on AGS.

It will be a tough game, no doubt, but with only 4 teams left would you expect anything less?

Hey guys. I'm on that board (popping on here from a link to this board from there).

We're nice enough. We've had a couple trolls, like one from NDSU and a Delaware fan who kept taunting us a bunch this season (sure hope he's enjoying watching the playoffs from home), but we're generally kind to visitors who just want to chat or cheer us on.

I haven't gotten the chance yet to look through the depth chart for EWU, but I think a lot of it isn't about you guys, it's about us.

Do I have issues with how the Tigers have been playing the last few weeks? Yes, and most of them are on special teams (the kicker, the return fumbles... yes plural... that happened against Fordham in round 2 too). But when I look at the team, I see a defense that has gotten its act together since the Delaware dumpster fire, a team that has faced adversity after two straight home losses, after rolling up to Charleston as 15.5-point dogs and making themselves a winter wonderland. I see probably the best FCS rusher I've ever seen plus a killer backup and a damn good QB in Peter Athens, with both protected by a veteran o-line. He's without his two top targets due to injuries, but freshmen like Dessenberg and guys like our TE Oboh have stepped up big time.

And we're not the ones looking past you. I feel like that's more of a thing I've seen in threads on AGS and CS. One week at a time, one game at a time. Even NDSU still has to play 60 minutes before they can start gassing up the plane to Frisco.

They're entitled to their privacy. Some folks prefer it that way.

We can have intelligent discussions right here without the need for iron fisted moderation.

Aresef, I think what you saw on Saturday was pretty much what our team is, with the exception that our QB was a little off. That will happen with a QB with extraordinary talent. There is plenty of film on the internet of better games he's played. What you also saw is a team that can win even when he's off. We lost both of our safeties quite a few weeks back. That's caused us to shuffle some players in the secondary. At times they've looked pretty good, at other times it's looked liked they're still getting comfortable with each other. I think the reverse pass on Saturday showed some of that. The OL has looked really good at times, but has struggled with pass protection in cases where you wouldn't expect it, and then suddenly turned it around and offered great protection. We also have a quality backup QB who is a 5th year senior. He has played well when given his chances. Not VA, but then very few are. If you saw Forte on Saturday you should appreciate our #1 RB, his backup Mario is really talented too. If you can find film of the 2010 NC game, look for #5. I love watching this kid run. You saw WR Ashton Clark play a solid game on Saturday. I think Cooper Kupps stats speak for themselves.

If Towson fans feel really confident after watching the game on Saturday, then good for them. That's why they play the games.
