The Northern Arizona University track and field program will send four student-athletes to Des Moines, Iowa this week to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Two seniors, Pascal Tang and Josh DeKonty, and two freshmen, Deante Kemper and Caroline Hogardh, are making the trip to wrap up one of the most successful years in program history.

The dynamic of the Lumberjack squad heading east this week is an interesting one, and speaks volumes to what the future of track and field at NAU has in store. While DeKonty and Tang are ending their successful careers in gold and blue, Kemper and Hogardh are gearing up for what look to be long and prosperous tenures.
