Tracking Class of 2026 Offers and Commitments

It was pretty heavy on Twitter today the amount of guys reporting offers from us, the staff had a busy Saturday! And all over the place, guys from Texas, Florida, Washington, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, and Alabama from what I saw. They threw out some offers to 2027 kids and hell even a class of 2029 kid from Carson, CA lol (offered his brother who is 2026 for context).and they continue to extend offers to guys that are nationally ranked and reporting power 4 FBS offers. Wild times and I’m here for it! There was a lot of tweets from the staff about us getting our first 2026 commitment already also couldn’t find anything from who that player was themselves.

I saw that too. Whoever the 26 committ is, they're very excited about it.

Absolutely, it just furthers the belief people are excited about Sac State right now and want to jump on.

And like I said earlier I’m here here the wild times, and we’re shooting for the stars on guys and maybe we pull a player or two we shouldn’t have… but I want to know how these conversations are going or what our pitch is to a kid that is rated the #1 DL and #7 overall in CA for ‘27. Some kids are more humble than others but my high school team had two top 50 players in the country in ‘09 and ‘10 respectively and they wouldn’t even have answered the phone for Sac State.

A lot of the offers from California schools I saw today were among the elite high schools. Not 100%, but the staff certainly picked out trying to pipeline into where consistent high school programs have been run. Folsom, Santa Ana Mater Dei, Gardena Serra, De La Salle, Corona Centennial, Oaks Christian, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Los Alamitos, JSerra (San Juan Cap).

Has this program ever gotten 3 star commits a year out? I agree that it doesn't mean much until they sign. Lots of time for "bigger" programs to come and offer/pay more for their services.

Not that I can ever recall. There will be movement in stars and commitments, but this is a change with timing normally reserved for FBS programs….

Other than eyeballs, this thread has about as much buoyancy as a lead weight. Every one of these 3/4 star kids will let us identify, spend cycles on recruiting and then FBS swoop in to sign them with NIL/better environment.

About as much legitimacy as Sam Herder's 2025 early rankings.

College football has become such a whore.

Even if there is movement, the change is that Sac State can be an intended first choice and not a backup plan for this level of athlete.
