Triple OT Thriller!

That game was much harder than it should have been, but great to pull out the win. Thanks to ISU for sucking at free throw shots. They always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot.

I think Weber has learned to play on the road. If you look at the win/loss record, they don't really have any bad losses. UNC is the only team that has me worried right now, but I have faith in Mr. Rahe and these players. I think they will find a way to beat them in Ogden and put themselves in a position to host the Big Sky Tournament again.

I could not make it up to Pokey so I watched it on BigSkyTV. The announcers made me really appreciate how great Carl Arkey is - he is clearly the best play by play guy in the region. I got really tired of hearing the ISU clowns yelling "unbelievable" after every call that went against ISU. The best line came after the end of the 3rd overtime and Weber had won. One of the announcers said: "All I can say coach is Sh!t." Followed by "I guess that went out over the internet" followed by silence and the end of their broadcast.
Great job Cats!

this part i just couldn't believe:

"After a time out the Bengals got the ball into the hands of Broderick Gilchrist who made a move to the basket and was fouled by Darn Mahoney with 00:00.7 left on the clock. Gilchrist made the first one, but the missed the second after a WSU timeout and game went into a second overtime period."

he makes that free throw and the game would have been over

Idaho State has had 13 OT games since the 2006-07 season they've only won 2 of them. thats a lot of OT games, in the same time we have had 8 and we've won 5 of them.

Gilchrist should never have been at the line. Lillard had caused a turnover and was gang raped by ISU, with the ball going out of bounds. I guess Mr. Haskins must have just missed it, he was after all staring at the play. That gave ISU the ball, which put Gilchrist on the line, which was also a completely bogus call. Mahoney was straight up on the play. I guess Mr. Haskins must have just missed it, he was after all staring at the play. No matter, great game. ISU is not a great 3pt shooting team and they had a great night from behind the arch, which made up for their bad FT shooting.
