I was under the impression that Cal Poly had well behaved players :o

That sucks I hate seeing that happen to any program.5 potential starters..what a shot to the groin for the coachesand teammates.

Dumb A--es... all of them.
How much hard work went in to getting a D1AA college football scholarship. Not just by them but their families as well. Dreams dashed and reps ruined.. all for what?
How many players were passed up by Cal Poly because they didn't have the grades, the athleticism or the character.
Looks like these 5 have none of the above.

The NCAA Division I Football Championship[1] is an American college football tournament played each year to determine the champion of the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Prior to the year 2006, the game was known as the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship. Always disliked the moniker D1AA(many a lost soul equated this to DII) since the last time it was used was 2005...All EWU sports are NCAA Division One products which took a massive amount of work getting to this point. Was NAIA when I attended EWU...

It's a tough crowd krg281! I was going to point this out, too. I absolutely HATE the "Division 1 double A" moniker. What's worse is when someone like Tom Glasgow from Root says it on a broadcast. Really, Tom??

That sucks; I can say Coach Walsh is a good guy and is probably torn apart by this. My bet is these guys got drunk, one of them popped up with a terrible idea, and the rest just jumped on that sinking ship because they weren't sober enough to recognize how stupid it was. Now all are probably going to spend some time behind bars (the guy brandishing the gun will likely get a long stretch) and no school will touch them. The only positive here is that at least the idiot with the gun didn't shoot someone when it all went wrong.

No winners in this deal...

I don't know why anyone would think it's a good idea to try something like this. Ivory alone is going to be a huge loss for Cal Poly.

I'm confused as to why 3 of these guys were arrested, including Ivory. One guy tried to rob a fraternity with a gun, and another drove the getaway car. Arresting those two seems obvious. The others arrested didn't actually participate in the robbery... the only thing I can think of is that they somehow helped in the planning process.

What's scary is that it sounds like the guy was trying to rob someone for Xanax, or money to buy Xanax. That's not your typical abuser's drug. I used to be prescribed that stuff for insomnia (they don't prescribe it for that use anymore) and it isn't a drug that makes you "high" or gives you any type of pleasurable response. I fear that the kid who robbed the frat has some massive underlying psychiatric disorder that he was self-medicating. I don't think that mitigates his behavior, and someone with those kind of issues shouldn't be on the football field. But let's hope he does his time and finds some help.

If they were present, knew of the crime, and did nothing to report or stop it, they would be considered accomplices.

Yeah, they haven't released those details yet. My guess is that they have text messages about the incident between the other players.
