Wow those guys really landed on their feet! It seems like they probably got significant raises too

So Peterson isn't good enough for UNC but he's good enough for Tulsa? I thought he was worth keeping around. Our offense, despite having a bad offensive line, played very this season. I was hoping he was going to be retained. One poster on this board said the players hated and coaches didn't get along with him, but you can't argue with the stats.

Eh I thought there was a lot of questionable play calling that might have cost UNC some games. Honestly I don't think the offense was any better than the year before, maybe a tad, but not a whole lot.

I'm happy for them and hope they do well. It's too bad things didn't work out for them here at UNC. I hope our new staff will bring back some wins for us this next season. We should have a pretty good team already in place and with a few good new players we might be at the top of the Big Sky.

We went from averaging something like 11 points per game with the two other coordinators to averaging 25 points per game with Peterson. That's quit a difference. Everyone can play arm-chair coach and question some calls, but that's just about every coach in the country. We really improved under Peterson and just think if we had an experienced and healthy offensive line.

These people that are all bent out of shape that Petersen should have been retained has the thought occured to you that had he been retained he more than likely still would have been offered the Tulsa job and left us high and dry?

So think a little before you talk down to everyone for having not wanted him back.

Maybe, but I don't think he should have been fired.

Looks like Deti is going to coach the secondary at Illinois State. Good for him. I'm glad he found a job. Probably should have stayed here along with Peterson.

Lol why? The guy went from a DC to just secondary coach.

Yeah to be honest I don't get all the love for the former staff, I'm guessing it's family, friends, and maybe ex players because when you look at it objectivly they were terrible. Petersen was only here a year he has more of the benefit of the doubt but still coordinators on terrible staffs don't get retained 99% of the time.

Water under the bridge. This is a new season, new staff, and new beginning. Those who directed the show here since Dalton's release own the record they left. They will soon be forgotten, or forever lampooned, whatever happens first, and we will all be the better for it.

I am looking for big improvements, and have put money on it.
