WATCHING THE PRESS BREAKER IS still PAINFUL

Losing to Sac & UVU in the same season is still PATHETIC..

weber will win the big sky crown. 15-5 is what it will take and i believe we will achieve that if not better, no doubt about that son.

unc is in 2nd place w/ a 7-3 record. 6-0 at home, 1-3 away.

UVU loss is looking better and better as they are running away with the WAC.

Maybe WSU and UVU will be playing against each other in the "Play-in game" come March... :ohno:

16 seeds for both conferences, for sure.

Maybe this is the swift kick in the ass that we needed. Much like the loss on the last second shot at ISU with dame, we came out after that playing much better. As painful as it is, maybe its what we needed

I would rather that than a 40 point drubbing at the hands of a syracuse. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, it's been some time since Weber has been able to win the BSC tourney-- home or away.

If I were betting money I'd still put my money on Weber hosting the tournament. Who else is going to do it?

UNC? They are great at home and not so good on the road...and have a lot of tough road games left.
UND? Nope...another team that struggles big time on the road and doesn't exactly have the whole "team" concept down yet.
NAU? They are overachieving and a definite surprise... but no. They won't host it. They are much better than I expected them to be without Russell.
Griz? Nope...too many early losses and will probably finish around 4th place behind Weber, UNC, and probably NAU with hopefully the tiebreaker over UND. Very inconsistent still too.

The rest of the teams don't have a chance in hell I don't think. Weber will probably end up something along the lines of 16-4 in conference if I were guessing. UNC will probably end up around 14-6 as will NAU. Griz I'm guessing (maybe a bit optimistic) will be around 12-8 as will UND.

You guys will host the tournament. No doubt in my mind.

Hmmm...followed by another outing at the hands of a Montana school? I'm not sure I could take another one. :yikes:

Oh wow we lose one road gm and now we won't win the conference. That's crazy! Not one team in the BSC was going to win this conference going away and that may help whoever wins the BSC (Weber). When teams are battle tested going into the tournament you are much better prepared ask Tom Izzo, Rick Pitino and others. This season there will may be only 2 conferences that have a team not lose a gm Gonzaga and Wichita St and that is because they are that much better and their conferences are weak. Arizona is the best team in the country and last night they lost on the road to Cal a team in the Pac12 that is in a similar position as Sac St,If the Cuse would have been at Duke yesterday they would have lost. Look at the teams road records in the BSC we have the best road record right now and we will not lose at home. Even if the rest of the season we split all the rest of our road gms we will win and I believe we will win at least one road series out right. No other team in the BSC will do either one this season. So Yes we will win the BSC.

UNC, UND, NAU and a few other teams may make some noise but no team other than WSU has shown that they can consistently win on the road in conference. Last night was a case of questionable clock management, a flat out great play by Garrity, a faux pas by the WSU coaching staff with the time out and 2 rare misses at the line by Berry. I'll give credit where it's due that Sac State has been playing better but last night's loss was the perfect storm.

WSU still wins the conference.

Just to remind a few people frustrated with Berry...he went 10-11 on last Thursday night in Flagstaff. WSU overall went 10-12 in the last 3 minutes. I attended last year's game at the end of the season. In the last 3 minutes of regulation when NAU was making a run to get back in it and then in overtime, Davion Berry hit 11 free throws and missed 2. He won that game for you. Give the kid a break. He is clutch.

WSU will be fine, I am sure they will be pissed off and I cant wait for Thursday's nights game. Berrys missed free throws were at a bad time but his three was clutch and it was Berry that ended up on the floor getting the loose ball with 8 sec remaining. I am sure glad he's a wildcat.

If we win Saturday, we will have a three game lead with eight left to play. It would then take an epic collapse to not win the conference.

Epic collapse? Six of those remaining eight are on the road, which has not been kind to BSC teams. It's pretty strange how much parity there is in conference play this season. Aside from Weber and a sliding UNC at the top, and cellar-dweller SUU, there are two groups of four battling it out for 3 thru 10. Does it bug anyone else that the Griz won today and are climbing back near the top again?

well griz could finish 2nd still quite easily but at the same time so can anyone else except suu. standings look exactly like 2004 + suu in there at the bottom.

anyone can finish 2nd-10th at this point. as long as we can split our road trips we can stay ahead of the pack.

good stat to know:

Rahe Big Sky Road Record 43-26
