Turn out the lights we just clinched title

This is Weber's conference to lose, the road has been extrememly unkind this year to everybody. If Weber can manage to grab a few road wins in the next two weeks they would be in a great position.

Here's hoping for another large crowd against UNC, it's time for a little revenge.

If we win Saturday, we will have a three game lead with eight left to play. It would then take an epic collapse to not win the conference.

Epic collapse? Six of those remaining eight are on the road, which has not been kind to BSC teams. It's pretty strange how much parity there is in conference play this season. Aside from Weber and a sliding UNC at the top, and cellar-dweller SUU, there are two groups of four battling it out for 3 thru 10. Does it bug anyone else that the Griz won today and are climbing back near the top again? :evil:
Epic collapse because all the other teams are going to lose at least a game or two more, meaning Weber would have to lose like 5, and maybe 6, of those remaining 8, to not at least tie for the conference championship.

Hmmm...I don't see it the same way. For the teams currently 3 or less games back:
- UNC 5-9 home games remaining, only 2 games back and could steal a huge one Saturday.
- UM 5-9 home games remaining, including one with Weber.
- PSU 4-9 home games remaining, including on with Weber.
- UND 4-9 home games remaining.
- NAU 5-9 home games remaining.

With Weber's 6-8 away games coming up, including a stretch of 4 in 9 days, I would not view UNC, UM, or NAU catching Weber an epic collapse at all, just sorely disappointing.

Was talking about losing the conference AFTER a win Saturday. A win Saturday would put us up by 3 games with 8 left to play. In my book that would be an epic collapse. But yes, lose Saturday and anything could happen.

My bad on the after Saturday part, but with our recent track record against the State of Montana, I certainly am not discounting UM's chances to get back in it, even with Weber winning Sat. NAU is still in position too, but I don't see them as big of a threat as UNC & UM. Also, even with a Weber win Saturday, that still leaves UNC 3 games back; 5-8 remaining at home; and a 1-1 H2H record with the 'cats.

My point is simple, We know UNC is a good team, we get them tomorrow, but we still have to play all 4 teams on the road that beat UNC on the road, (MSU,EWU,PSU,ISU) plus Montana.

What has Weber proved on the road? We beat a N. Dakota team that wasn't playing well at the time, & an NAU team that lost last night @ Sac by 17. This is no shoe in.

The road don't matter. We the only team playing well on the road. Also only 1 other team besides us is protecting the home front. We can go 9-1 at home and 6-4 away and host.

If unc loses on sat I don't see them finishing with 15 wins and they would be 1-5 on the road. They would have to end the yr going 8-0. A win over unc means many others can finish 2nd potentially. Griz can b in 2nd tomrrow.

This is the most competitive I have seen the BSC, 2 through 10 specifically. It was said earlier that the UNC game and the 4 after that are critical. Truly, if we hold court at home and at least split on the road, we will be hosting in March. After Saturday, it's ISU, SUU, UM and MSU. We really need to remain focused, keep our eye on the prize. :rockon: :rockon:

The title of this thread makes me puke! I can not imagine a REAL fan to be so negative. But then again...someone has to be the Devil's Advocate, (or the Devil incarnate?) :twisted: Just my :twocents: worth.

now that we have beat unc, und and griz and bobs at home we have a great chance to finish them off and go 10-0 at home. its almost impossible to not host doing that. note i did say "almost". its happened a few times in big sky.

10-0 at home and 5-5 away and you will host in 2014. this means we would lose 4 of the remaing 6 away games. we are 3-1 on the road so far.

next week will be very interesting with 3 tough away gams in 6 days. we have suu this week, just 1 game.

if you beat suu and then lose 2 of the 3 next week to do travel n fatigue you would still be lookin good with a 12-4 record with a 1-2.5 game lead on 2nd.

We are 2-2 on the road, not 3-1. I would argue 4 of the 6 toughest road games still remaining.

ISU, Montana, & MSU next week will be brutal. Glad ISU is close to home, & they can come home and go treat the Montana trip like normal.

oh oops. that is correct. my only argument is we are playing our best ball right now so its unlikely we would get served on the road even as brutal as next week is especially if we win in cedar this week. suu has a game tonight.

rahe is 62% winning on the road in big sky, so i have to count that for something. :rockon:

Plain and simple. We need to go 3-1 on the road. If we do that we will be sitting pretty. The Montana trip is always difficult.

Still haven't done jack on the road. MSU,EWU,PSU still left, its about to get real rocky fellas

Yep. It only took four days, and now we're in deep shit. :oops:

No way, son. 14-6 and we champs.

Need 3 wins:

@msu
Nau
Sac
@ewu
@psu

Do we finish 15-5 or 14-6?

If we have any energy to beat the bobs then 16-4.

If that were to happen are you really excited about a 14-6 big sky champ this season in particular, and the seeding that will follow.

Yes, just get it done.

It's kind of a strange coincidence that the Weber men's first conference two game losing streak comes at the same exact time as the Weber women's first conference two game winning streak :thumbdown: :thumb:

I don't give a rats talhad if we r 16-4 or 13-7. I would like to win the conf. I don't care about seeding. We were never gonna be an 11. Just getting in is all that matters. Then if ur a regular then u can try to improve on that.

We r going to get a banner in 2014.
