These are not former players, but current players and most likely defensive starters.

Details on this have been few and far between. Anyone know the extent of their injuries aside from "non-life threatening?" I can't imagine a man just bounces back after being shot in the chest.

All I've ascertained is that they were standing outside a bar and someone shot them. Rumours include that it was basically a drive-by. I'd have to imagine Spokane police are working this one pretty hard as it was a high-profile attempted murder in the downtown area. Scary shit. I hope these guys get better quickly.

Even a low caliber weapon discharged in the face or chest has the capacity to kill. I hope these two are OK. I'd have to assume they're going to be facing a few surgeries.

130am they weren’t the only people outside that bar but the only ones hit. Sounds like a targeted attack. It’s just so ridiculous that it comes to this. These guys are living the best life they can. Getting an education, playing ball and have this come about and derail it. I feel for these guys. Hopefully they recover quick and get to move on with their lives

130am they weren’t the only people outside that bar but the only ones hit. Sounds like a targeted attack. It’s just so ridiculous that it comes to this. These guys are living the best life they can. My hunch would be that the players had some words with some douchebag who felt disrespected and thought the best recourse was to bring a gun into the mix. You never know about some people. Glad to hear the guys came out of this alright, or at least as well as could be expected given that they were shot.

We'd all love to see the perp get caught and locked away, but my guess is this will be a tough case unless someone was photographing IDs at the bars. I think most nightclubs do this regularly, but I doubt many bars do.

Read the SR article and was completely relieved. So glad for them, their loved ones and the team. Life balanced on the head of a pin.

That is outstanding they will recover so quickly...almost unbelieveable. Haven't read anything but gun had to be a low caliber for those guys not to be severly injured. 22 cal perhaps. So happy for those guys as it coulda been a very dark story.
