Tyler Harvey not going to make the roster.

Orlando aquired Shabazz Napier which puts the roster at 15, leaving no room for Tyler Harvey. Looks like he will end up in the D league.

he's had to earn things all his life he knows what he needs to do. :clap:

That sucks. Hopefully he'll get a shot from there.
 
Would've given him a better chance of getting drafted in 1st round where he'd have a guaranteed contract.

Hope things turn out for him. Looks like D League.
 
Harvey apparently signed directly with a D-League team and never went to camp with the Magic. They will retain his draft rights.

I wonder what his thought process was.

I was reading something that said a lot of teams will make agreements with second round picks where they will draft them with the understanding that the player will take an assignment to the D-League. It called the 'domestic draft and stash'. Something about it extending their rights for another year while they get some playing time. It's like the domestic version of teams that draft foreign players and leave them overseas for a season or two.
