UC Davis game

A quick check of the RPI shows that we are currently 320th out of 345 Division 1 teams, and it has nothing to do with a tough schedule. Quite the contrary - our strength of schedule ranks 273rd. Here is the RPI of our opponents: WSU 190, Santa Clara 117, St Mary's 105, Utah Valley 222, USC Upstate 239, Idaho 258, CS Fullerton 307, Northridge 68, Seattle U 279, UC Davis 241. Not exactly a murderer's row of opponents.

The numbers actually get worse if you look at our defense and rebounding - although Aussie Fan probably wont want to admit it. We are next to worst among all D1 teams in the country in the number of points we allow our opponents to score; we are 326th in defensive field goal percentage; and we are 340th in defensive rebounding.

In fairness to Aussie Fan, we are also 304th in offensive field goal percentage. As I have said previously, WE DONT PLAY DEFENSE, WE DONT REBOUND, AND WE TAKE TERRIBLE SHOTS!

The only silver lining that I can find has nothing to do with our team or our coach. It is simply that the Big Sky appears to be even worse this year than it was last year. The conference is currently ranked 27th out of 32 and several other teams in The Sky are just as bad as us: Idaho State is 323rd, Montana State is 321st, Northern Colorado is 296th, and Portland State is 264th.

Thanks for looking all of that up oldtimeewualum :-)
No doubt that was our worst game  We have plenty of areas we need to improve on and that includes our rebounding and defense so we agree on that :thumb:
But...
I still think the team is going to get it together and I can't wait for the conference games to begin. I just wish I could catch a couple of games and watch them with you guys :D
Maybe next year.
Go Eags :kisswink:
