UC Davis vs Portland State - Thread

At the game and the Viks Offense is doing a good job in Q1. 14-7. Defense having trouble again. They cannot stop 3rd and long

We are making the aggie qb look like Joe Montana

our corner no.25 Michael Williams is just getting abused.

UCDavis scores 2nd TD on a 3rd and 10 from the twenty. Gawd I hate Glanville's defense. It is a paper tiger defense.

I do not think that Connor should have been pulled (for a kid who has hardly played) when the game was tied. He should have been allowed to win it or lose it as our starting quarterback.

I agree. I was stunned that JG pulled the hook. Cheap move. Another poor coaching job by this staff. Give the kids a shot at winning. Incredibly poor play calls especially in 2nd half.

Who in the hell pulls the starting QB with under 9 minutes to go in the fourth quarter in a 31-31 tie?

Probably the same person that keeps Williams in at CB, then finally pulls him after he gets burned again after another TD. I realize that Williams is a JG kid, but the freshman is getting worked week after week.

I hate seeing us get out coached week after week.

when in the hell was the last time the vikings where 2-6?

2007. We were 2-8 at one point.

touche' but...that was Glanville's FIRST year....bottom line, its not about recruits, its not about coaching staff, its about poor technique, kids being taught his scheme and no technique to go with it. This is Glanville's doing, its just that simple...

Not sure I understand what you mean. Technique? You mean teaching blocking technique etc.? I doubt the coaches aren't doing that. Now, if you'd suggest that Glanville's approach works at the NFL level but not at I-AA, that's maybe possible. Maybe. But "technique" doesn't mean anything. Be more specific.
